Under the Societies Registration Act of 1860, the Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management and Development Studies was founded in 1982. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious B Schools in northern India, and it has been meeting the expanding demands of business in the country’s liberalised industrial environment ever since. The institute currently offers master’s degrees and postgraduate diplomas in a number of management and computer application topics. With 26 years of extensive and top-notch intellectual capital at its disposal, it supports researchers acting as a centre for the award of Ph.D. degrees in management. Due to its work in the consulting, market research, and faculty development fields, it has helped other commercial institutions build their intellectual capital. Since 1984, the institute has organised MDPs for private businesses, governmental agencies, non-profit institutions, international enterprises, and financial institutions.
